Men's Soccer Upends Mariners In Non-Conference Action
Kalombo & Oliveira-Dalicandro net one goal each for Green & Gold
Fitchburg, MA– The Fitchburg State University Men's Soccer Team registered a 2-1 victory over the Mariners of Mitchell College this afternoon in non-conference action from Elliot Field.

How It Happened
Mitchell grabbed the lead midway through the opening stanza with sophomore Nathan Da Cruz (Seymour, CT) depositing a shot into the right side of net for his third tally on the season for the 1-0 advantage.
Fitchburg State knotted the score at 1-1 at the 40:27 mark when senior Elijah Kalombo (Worcester, MA) settled a feed from sophomore Diego Cardoso Morais (Boston, MA) and headed a shot inside the far post for his fourth marker of the 2024 campaign.
The Falcons took the lead one minute later as sophomore Anthony Oliveira-Dalicandro (Waltham, MA) received a cross from junior Zachariah Foster (Brockton, MA) and blasted a shot far side and into the back of the net for his fourth score on the year to make the score 2-1 going into the break.
Following the intermission, the Mariners threatened in the 75th minute of action with senior Dylan Lucey (Lebanon, CT) put a shot on target, but Falcons keeper Dorian Ramadan (West Boylston, MA) turned the aside, resulting in the 2-1 final
