Fitchburg, MA – The Fitchburg State Men's Soccer team dropped a tough 2-1 decision to the Saints of Emmanuel College this evening in non-conference action from Elliot Field.

How It Happened

Emmanuel opened the scoring midway through the first half as sophomore Rafeal Matamoras (Weston, FL) fired a shot into the lower left corner for his first tally on the year for the 1-0 advantage. The Saints doubled its lead (2-0) at the 38:52 mark when senior Pierre Paul Labossiere (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) settled a feed from newcomer Lucas Silvia (East Bridgewater, MA) and deposited a shot into the back of net for his first marker of the 2025-26 campaign.

Fitchburg State cut the deficit to 2-1 just before the break with junior Edwin Daramy (Fitchburg, MA) collecting a loose ball in front of the net and putting a shot into the left side of net for his first goal of the year.
