Edwards Named MASCAC Rookie Of The Week
Townsend, Mass. native collects first weekly accolade of the season
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA.) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The first-year Falcon notched his first weekly honor of the year after placing 94th overall for the Green and Gold with a time of 28:07.50 at the 2024 Keene State Invitational to help lead the Falcons to a 13th place finish on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2024 James Early Invitational, hosted by Westfield State, starting at 10:00AM.
