Falcons Place First Overall At Jim Sheehan Memorial Invite
Manyok takes top honors with a time of 27:39
Leominster, MA – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team took first place with a total of 15 points this morning as the Falcons hosted its annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational at the Doyle Conservation Center.

How It Happened
Senior Taban Manyok (Lynn, MA) led the way for the Falcons, finishing first overall with a time of 27:39 over the 8K course, while sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) was next for the Green and Gold, placing second overall with a time of 28:18.
Newcomer Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) followed in third place with a time of 29:55, while sophomore Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) entered the chute at 30:05, placing fifth overall.
Sophomore Jesse Moriello (Saugus, MA) registered an eighth-place finish with a time of 31:59, while graduate student (Andrew Bedard Rutland, MA) crossed the finish line 32:39 (11th). Freshman Brendan Guenard (Andover, MA) rounded out the top Falcons efforts on the day, finishing 12th overall with a time of 32:48.
