Men's Cross Country Places Second Overall At Knights Maple Syrup Challenge

Randolph, VT – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team placed second overall with a total of 52 points at the 2024 Knights Maple Syrup Challenge this morning.

How It Happened
Senior Taban Manyok (Lynn, MA) paved the way for the Falcons, finishing second overall with a time of 28:17.48 over the 8K course, while sophomore Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) was next for the Green and Gold, finishing third overall with a time of 28:23.63.
Freshman Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) entered the chute in 11th place with a time of 30:32.63, while sophomore Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) followed in 13th place with a time of 30:48.43.
Graduate student Andrew Bedard (Rutland, MA) (23rd), senior Casey LaCombe (Hadley, MA) (25th) and sophomore Matt Telson (Everett, MA) (26th) rounded out the top seven finishers for the Falcons with times o 33:02.30, 33:56.73 and 34:06.27 respectively.
