Men's Cross Country Competes At 2024 Connecticut College Invite

New London, CT. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross country team placed 34th overall with a total of 924 points at the 2024 Connecticut College Invitational this afternoon at Harkness Park.

How It Happened
Senior Taban Manyok (Lynn, MA) led the way for the Green and Gold, placing 115th overall with a time of 26:12.60 over the 8000M layout, while junior Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) followed with a time of 26:36.70.
Freshman Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) was next into the chute, registering a time of 28:20.10, while senior Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) notched a time of 28:47.00.
Rounding out the top finishers for the Green and Gold were graduate student Andrew Bedard (Rutland, MA), senior Casey LaCombe (South Hadley, MA), freshman Brendan Guenard (Andover, MA) and sophomore Jesse Moriello (Saugus, MA) with times of 29:58.00, 30:03.20, 30:44.00 and 31:26.20 respectively.
Coach Jim Jellison said, "Despite this being a national meet, the team ran exceptionally well this afternoon."

- New York University won the 2024 James Earley Invitational Connecticut College Invitational with a total of 80 points.
