Townsend, Mass. native collects second weekly honor on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The first-year Falcon picked up his second weekly accolade of the 2024 campaign after placing eighth overall with a time of 26:55.80 for the Green and Gold over the 8K meter course at the 2024 MASCAC Championship Meet on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday, November 16th as they compete at the 2024 New England Regional Championships at the Hopkinton State Fair Grounds.
