Men’s Soccer Blanks Regis

WESTON, MA: The Fitchburg State men's soccer team shut out the Pride of Regis College this evening in non-conference action, 1-0.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/29/25

- Score: Fitchburg 1, Regis 0

- Records: Fitchburg (2-6-1), Regis (3-6-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- After a scoreless first half, during which the Falcons outshot the Pride 6-3, Fitchburg finally scored the only goal of the game in the 51st minute. Just six minutes into the second half, the Falcons found the back of the net. Joseph Lavela (Worcester, MA) scored the go-ahead and game-winning goal, marking his first of his young career. 

- Regis was unable to tie the game with the remainder of the second half, despite taking more shots than Fitchburg. The Pride had six shots, compared to the Falcons' four.

Tristan White (Tewksbury, MA) earned the win (1-3) after making one save. Wylie Gardiner suffered the loss (0-3) after making four saves on five shots faced.
