Women’s Soccer Draws Even with Lesley

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State women’s soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against the Lynx of Lesley University during their pink game this evening in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Falcons struck first in the 13th minute of the first half on a well-placed shot by Noelle Kennedy (West Roxbury, MA), marking her second goal of the season.

- The game would remain 1-0 in favor of the Falcons going into the second half. In the 55th minute, Leecy Cruz finally got one past Fitchburg's keeper to tie the game up at 1-1. Cruz took a game-high 12 shots, with seven of them being on goal.

- Cassandra Pendleton (Ware, MA) had an impressive day in goal for the Falcons. She made 13 saves on 14 shots faced. Madison Reed saw just four shots on goal with three saves.
