Guevara Mateo Tabbed MASCAC MXC Rookie Of The Week
Cambridge, Mass. native nets third conference weekly accolade
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday for second consecutive week.
Guevara Mateo posted his third weekly honor of the season after taking top honors with a time of 26:06.9 at the 2025 Norwich Cadet Invitational, hosted by Norwich University on Friday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2025 James Early Invitational, hosted by Westfield State, starting at 10:00AM.
