Men’s Soccer Falls to Bridgewater

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men’s soccer team was defeated by the Bears of Bridgewater State this morning in MASCAC action, 4-1.

- Records: Bridgewater (10-5-1, 5-1-1 MASCAC), Fitchburg (4-9-3, 1-4-2 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Bears got on the board in the 11th minute of the first half with a goal from Filippo Mucci. He scored by kicking the ball from the corner during a corner kick. They added another in the 23rd minute on a good cross from Melvin Alves to Cameron Walty. The Falcons responded, making it a one-goal game in the 34th minute when Justin Job (Worcester, MA) beat the Bears keeper after receiving a pass from Liam Evans (Marshfield, MA).

- The Bears extended their lead, with Alves scoring his second goal of the season in the 56th minute. The final goal came in the 84th minute, with Alves assisting on a Connor Wesloski goal.

- Kyle Sullivan got the win (10-4-1) after making four saves. Tristan White (Tewksbury, MA) got the loss after making three saves and allowing four goals.
