Women’s Soccer Falls to Western New England

SPRINGFIELD, MA: The Fitchburg State women’s soccer team fell to the Golden Bears of Western New England this afternoon in non-conference action, 3-0.

SPRINGFIELD, MA: The Fitchburg State women's soccer team fell to the Golden Bears of Western New England this afternoon in non-conference action, 3-0.

- Score: WNEU 3, Fitchburg 0

- Records: WNEU (6-6-4), Fitchburg (2-11-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Golden Bears scored all three goals in today's game. The first came in the first half in the 36th minute by Megahan Hartnett off a corner.

- The 1-0 lead would last into the 82nd minute and the second half when Sophia Scyocurka added onto the lead, making it 2-0. The final goal came in the 84th minute from Liza Pinette.

- Mia Herron (Mendon, MA) suffered the loss (0-7) after making eight saves and allowing the three goals. Adara Boucher came in as a sub in the second half and made the only save for Western New England.
