Men's Cross Country Places First Overall At 2025 Norwich Cadet Invite

Northfield, VT – The Fitchburg State University men's cross-country team placed first overall with a total of 37 points at the 2025 Norwich Cadet Invitational this afternoon at the Norwich University Cross Country Course.

How It Happened
Freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) paced the Green and Gold, taking top honors with a time of 26:06.90 over the 8K layout, while senior Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) followed in fourth place with a time of 28.08.80
Junior Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) was next for the Falcons, crossing the line in sixth place at 28:35.00, while junior Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) finished seventh with a time of 29:03.80.
Rounding out the top finishers for the Green and Gold were senior Omar Elmi (Worcester, MA) (24th), classmate Alvaro Castillo-Clottier Jr (Palmer, MA) (26th) and senior Brady Madigan (Ayer, MA) (28th) with times of 31:32.80, 31:47.50 and 31:48.90
