Men’s Soccer Falls Short to Framingham

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men’s soccer team fell this evening to the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action, 2-1.

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men's soccer team fell this evening to the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action, 2-1.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/20/25

- Score: Framingham 2, Fitchburg 1

- Records: Framingham (4-3, 1-2 MASCAC), Fitchburg (1-5-1, 0-3 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Framingham took the lead in the 17th minute with a penalty kick after a shot hit a Falcons defender's hand inside the eighteen. Kaio Santos Da Silva took the penalty and scored just inside the right post. The Rams extended their lead in the 35th minute with a cross from Da Silva that found Peter Miro for his first goal of the season.

- The 2-0 lead would hold for the Rams until the 65th minute when Rick Da Moura (Boston, MA) found Jason Job (Worcester, MA) open on the far post for the goal. Neither team would score again for the rest of the match, giving Framingham the 2-1 victory.

- Colin Holt got the win (4-3) after making three saves on four shots. Tristan White (Tewksbury, MA) took the loss (1-2) after making four saves on six shots.
