Sardella registers 11 kills for Green & Gold
FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State Women's Volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference contests to the Fighting Scots of Gordon College and the Elms College Blazers this afternoon in a tri-match at the Parkinson Gymnasium.

Match One
- Fitchburg State's offense was led by senior outside hitter Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) with a team-best four kills, and seven digs, while junior setter Mia Vestal (Wilmington, MA) added four assists and two digs for the Falcons. Defensively, junior Jessica Greco (Southington, CT) finished with five digs.
- For the Fighting Scots, senior Evey Hansen (Dillon, MT) finished with a match best eight kills, one dig and one blocking assist, while junior setter Annika Schmitt (Quincy, MA) added a match-leading 13 assists, one service ace and eight digs. On the defensive end, sophomore Haley Hutzler (Long Island, NY) chipped in with ten digs, six kills and two service aces.

Match Two
- Fitchburg State's offense was led by Sardella with a team-leading seven kills and 12 digs, while sophomore setter Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) chipped in with a team-best eight assists and 17 digs. Defensively, Greco concluded the match with a team high 20 digs and five assists.
- For the Blazers, senior outside hitter Alysha Izquiendo (Holyoke, MA) paced the offense with a match leading 11 kills, one assist, one service ace and 17 digs, while senior setter Jaylen Holman (Las Cruces, NM) added a match best 20 assists, two service aces, two blocking assists and nine digs. On the defensive side, junior Quiana Gibbs (Porterville, CA) registered 23 digs, four kills and three service aces.
