Men's Soccer Edged By Blazers In 2025 Season Opener

How It Happened

Following a scoreless first half of play, Elms grabbed a 1-0 edge at the 48:14 mark  as junior Dru Fairthorne (Ludlow, MA) found the back of the net for his first tally on the season.

Fitchburg State knotted the score at 1-1 roughly one minute later when sophomore William Badger (Attleboro, MA) deposited a ball inside the far post for his first collegiate marker.

The Blazers regained the advantage in the 61st minute with senior Jacob Molina Ferrer (Valencia, Spain) settling a feed from classmate Wai Kyaw (West Springfield, MA) and firing a shot into the upper left corner for his first score of the 2025 campaign to make the score 2-1.
