Guevara Mateo Named MASCAC MXC Runner & Rookie Of The Week
Cambridge, Mass. native collects fifth conference weekly accolade
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner & Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Guevara Mateo earned his fifth weekly honor of the season after taking top honors for the Falcons with a time of 25:19.56 over the 8K layout at the 2025 Western New England Golden Bear Invitational on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday, November 1st as they compete at the 2025 MASCAC Men's Cross Country Championships, hosted by Westfield State, starting at 10:00AM.
