Women's Volleyball Rallies Past Buccaneers In Five Set Thriller
Sardella eclipses program record for digs with 977 career digs
Fitchburg, MA: The Fitchburg State Women's Volleyball team rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Buccaneers of Mass. Maritime Academy in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this evening from the Parkinson Gymnasium as the Falcons hosted its annual Dig Pink Game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fitchburg State's offense was led by senior Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) with a team-leading17 kills, 30 digs and six service aces, while sophomore setter Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) chipped in with a team-best 29 assists, one kill, two service aces and 18 digs. Defensively, sophomore Maribelis Alcantara (Salem, MA) finished with 29 digs and five assists for the Falcons.
- For the Buccaneers, senior Shayla Narodowg (Wellington, CO) registered a match-best 18 kills, seven service aces, 11 digs and one solo block, while junior Erin Donlan (Durham, CT) added a match-best 33 assists, two kills, three service aces and 23 digs. On the defensive end, freshman Holly Sanders (Tallahassee, FL) finished with a match-leading 53 digs, one kill, three assists and two service aces.
