Volleyball Drops Match to Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, MA: The Fitchburg State volleyball team fell to the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action this evening, 3-0.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Framingham 3, Fitchburg 0. Sets: 20-25, 15-25, 17-25.

- Records: Framingham (10-3, 3-0 MASCAC), Fitchburg (0-13, 0-2 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Rams' offense was led by Natalie Reynolds, who recorded a match-high 12 kills on 20 attempts with no errors, resulting in a .600 kill percentage. She was set up by Stella Bailey, who had a match-high 29 assists and led the team with ten digs. 

Gwynneth Norman (Keene, NH) led the Falcons offense again with nine kills on 21 attempts, three errors, and a .286 kill percentage. Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) led the team's defense with 11 digs, while Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) was the primary setter tonight with 15 assists.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Framingham 36, Fitchburg 30

-  Digs: Framingham 47, Fitchburg 38

-  Assists: Framingham 34, Fitchburg 30

UP NEXT:

- Fitchburg State volleyball will return to the court Saturday for a tri-match against East Conn and Castleton. The match with East Conn is scheduled for 3 PM, and Castleton at 5 PM.
