Women's Cross Country Places Second At Jim Sheehan Memorial Invite

Leominster, MA. – The Fitchburg State University women’s cross country team placed second overall with a total of 41 points this morning as the Falcons hosted their annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational at the Doyle Conservation Center.

Leominster, MA. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed second overall with a total of 41 points this morning as the Falcons hosted their annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational at the Doyle Conservation Center.

How It Happened

Senior Skye Goba (Norton, MA) paced the Falcons, placing first overall with a time of 13:30.41 over the two mile layout, while junior Gwendolyn Connors (Ayer, MA) was next for the Green and Gold, crossing the line with a ninth place time of 15:17.08;

Junior Alexis Toste (Dracut, MA) followed in 17th place with a time of 17:20.00, while senior Alanis Velez (Lowell, MA) entered the chute in 19th place with a time 19:00.10. Sophomore Ashe Miola (Leominster, MA) rounded out the top finishers for the Green and Gold with a 22nd place time of 22:15.70.
