Men’s Soccer Stumbles to Lesley

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men’s soccer team was defeated by the Lynx of Lesley University this afternoon in non-conference action, 4-2.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/22/25

- Score: Lesley 4, Fitchburg 2

- Records: Lesley (2-10-3), Fitchburg (4-8-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Falcons scored first in this one. Jair Santos (Somerville, MA) scored his first goal of the season in the 7th minute. The Lynx would tie it up in the 16th minute on one of four goals by Wassim Chaib. Santos gave the lead back to the Falcons in the 23rd minute.

- The 2-1 lead lasted into the 55th minute when Chaib netted his second goal of the game. He would score his third in the 64th minute, giving his team a 3-2 lead. Two minutes later, Chaib scored his fourth and final goal of the game, getting the final score of 4-2.

- Malcolm Edwards (Salem, MA) was tagged with the loss (1-6-1) after making six saves and allowing four goals. Josh Angulo-Gonzalez got the win (1-4) after not making a save or allowing any goals.
