Corcoran Tabbed MASCAC Defensive Player Of The Week
Braintree, MA native registers third MASCAC weekly accolade on the year
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore goaltender Isabella Corcoran (Braintree, MA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Corcoran posted her third weekly accolade of the season after registering seven saves with a 0.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 1.000 in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. Isabella stopped all seven shots she faced in a 1-0 triumph over the Vikings of Salem State on Tuesday before going untested in a 5-0 victory against the AMCATS of Anna Maria on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team (10-6, 7-4 MASCAC) returns to action on Wednesday as they travel to Simmons College to take on the Sharks in non-conference action, starting at 5:00PM.
