FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State football team fell to the Rams of Framingham State this afternoon in MASCAC action, 22-12.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/4/25

- Score: Framingham 22, Fitchburg 12

- Records: Framingham (4-1, 4-0 MASCAC), Fitchburg (2-2, 1-2 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The first half was a back-and-forth battle between both teams. The Rams held just a 6-0 lead going into the break after they scored on their opening drive. The 14-play 65-yard drive was capped off with a four-yard rush by Jarvin Simon.

- Fitchburg scored first in the second half, scoring on their first drive that went for eight plays and covering 61 yards. Jacey Ham (Quincy, MA) caught his first career touchdown pass from nine yards out. That touchdown tied the game at 6-6, but the Rams blocked the PAT attempt and returned it 97 yards for a two-point score. Melvon Crump recovered the blocked kick and returned it for Framingham, making it 8-6.

- The Falcons would regain the lead at the start of the fourth quarter after eating up a large part of the third on a ten-minute, 18-play, and 75-yard drive. That finished with an Oriowokite Fatoke (Worcester, MA) two-yard plunge into the endzone. The Rams would respond on the very next drive with a touchdown of their own. This time, it was Michael Marcuce passing to Mathias Fowler for a 20-yard pass and catch, putting them up 15-12.

- Framingham scored the final touchdown of the game after a three-and-out by the Falcons. The last score came on a unusual-looking play that was ultimately an offsides penalty by the Falcons, which resulted in a free play that ended with a 69-yard touchdown pass and catch, this time from Marcuce to Ayden Ramirez. The Falcons had their chances late in the fourth quarter to come back, but a fumble and two interceptions prevented them from scoring, leaving the final at 22-12.

- Defensively for the Falcons, Emmanuel Cano (Lowell, MA) had a team-high ten tackles. Harvey Earley (Fitchburg, MA) recorded an interception for Fitchburg. For the Rams, Josiah Mitchell led the team with nine tackles, along with an interception.
