Harrison Township native nets first weekly honor on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State Ice Hockey sophomore goaltender Frederick Soderberg (Harrison Township, MI) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goalie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The second-year Falcons collected up his first weekly accolade of the 2024-25 campaign after totaling 63 saves with a 1.50 goals against average and a save percentage of 95.5% in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold.

Soderberg stopped 31 shots in a 5-2 triumph over the Greyhounds of Assumption University on Tuesday before adding 32 saves in 2-1 victory against Salem State on Thursday/

The Fitchburg State Ice Hockey team (4-0-0, 1-0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as they travel to UMass Dartmouth to take on the Corsairs in MASCAC action, starting at 7:30PM.
