FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State women's basketball fell to the AMCATS of Anna Maria College this evening in non-conference action. 

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- This contest was a back-and-forth, with both teams fighting for the lead. Through three quarters, there were nine ties and 11 lead changes. The fourth quarter saw the AMCATS take the lead and get to their largest of the contest at 11 points, which they only held for eight seconds. Anna Maria leaned heavily on Marinique Reddin, who carried the team's offense and rebounding. Reddin finished the contest with a game-high 35 points, 14 rebounds, and four steals. The next highest scorer for Anna Maria was Sharayah Scott-Cummings, who scored ten points. The difference in this one was the team's shooting performances. The AMCATS posted most of their points in the paint, going 25-64 (39.1%) from the floor, compared to the Falcons, who took 24 three-point shots and finished the game going 22-83 (26.5%) from the floor. 

- The Falcons offensive attack was more spread out, as four student-athletes finished with double-digit points. Rylie Harlow (Hanson, MA) led the way with a team-high 17 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Stephanie Hart (Shirley, MA) continued to dominate on the boards with a game-high 22 rebounds, 10 points, and three assists. Her double-double marks the third of the season. Kaelynn Tanner (Lowell, MA) and Kathryn Hart (Shirley, MA) round out the top scorers for the Falcons. Tanner finished with 11 points, three rebounds, and two steals, with Hart finishing with 10 points, five rebounds, and four steals.
