Women's Basketball Drops Non-Conference Tilt To Spartans
Harlow leads Green & Gold with 17 points
Daytona Beach, FLA – The Fitchburg State women's basketball team dropped a 98-45 decision to the Spartans of York College of Pennsylvania in non-conference action this afternoon at the Daytona Florida Sunshine Shootout.

How It Happened
1st quarter
York grabbed a 12-6 adavantage on a jumper from graduate student Morgan Adams (New Oxford, PA) before senior Rylie Harlow (Hansen, MA) hit a e jumper for Fitchburg State to cut the deficit to 12-9; The Spartans pushed the lead 23-9 on a pair of free-throws from Alyssa Hooker (York, PA) , but the Falcons trimmed to lead to 25-11 on three ball by senior Morgan Genness (Belgrade, ME).
2nd quarter
The Spartans extended the lead to 30-20 on a layup by Adams, but the Green and Gold answered back as junior Aliza Som (Lynn, MA) hit a jumper (30-22). York upped the lead to 37-31 as Hooker hit a three ball, Harlow drained a three-pointer of her own to make the score 48-43 going into break.
3rd quarter
Following the intermission, York extended to lead to 64-36 as junior Breanna Grim (Wrightville, PA) and Hooker connected on buckets, before senior Caileen Hurley (Whitman, MA) registered a basket to make score 64-38. Junior Makenna Zimmerman (Easton .PA) pushed the margin to 76-38 with a layup,
4th quarter
The Falcons trimmed the lead 78=40 as senior Kathryn Hart (Shirley.MA) sank a pair from the free-throw line, but the Spartans secured the victory when Hooker notched a layup, resulting in the 98-45 final.

- Junior Kaelynn Tanner (Lynn, MA) chipped in with the ten points, one board and one block
