Corcoran Selected MASCAC Defensive Player Of The Week
Braintree, MA native registers second MASCAC weekly accolade on the year
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore goaltender Isabella Corcoran (Braintree, MA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Corcoran posted her second weekly accolade of the season after registering 21 saves with a 0.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 1.000 in a 2-0 week for the Green and Gold. Isabella stopped all 16 shots she faced in a 1-0 triumph over the Lancers of Worcester State on Tuesday before turning aside all five shots in a 1-0 victory against Salem State on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State field hockey team (6-3, 3-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to Anna Maria to take on the Amcats in conference action, starting at 6:00PM.
