Women's Indoor Track Shines At 2025 Harvard Crimson Open
Crout paces Green & Gold with 13th place finish in the weight throw
Cambridge, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University women's indoor track & field team returned to action today as they competed at the 2025 Harvard Crimson Open at the Gordon Indoor Track.

How It Happened
Junior Skye Goba (Norton, MA) led the way for the Falcons with a 22nd place finish in the mile with a MASCAC qualifying time of 5:46.75, while sophomore Taylor Crout (Boise, ID) notched a 13th place effort in the weight throw with a MASCAC qualifying toss of 11.61 meters.
In the 60 meter hurdles, junior Aria DiCato (Fitchburg, MA) placed 32nd overall with a MASCAC qualifying time of 10.83 seconds, while in the 60 meter, freshman Arieyana Robinson (Worcester, MA) (33rd) and classmate Maribelis Alcantara (Salem, MA) (46th) posted MASCAC qualifying times of 8.46 and 8.82 seconds.
In the 400 meter, junior Trishannah Scott (Leominster, MA) (14th) (MASCAC qualifier), DiCato (22nd) (MASCAC qualifier) and freshman Christina Apolon (Brooklyn, NY) (27th) turned in times of 1:04.89. 1:08.63 and 1:17.36, while in the 200 meter, Scott (29.34), Robinson (29.42) and Alcantara (29.53) all qualified for the post-season after placing 44th, 46th and 49th.
In the field, junior Cassandra Israelson (Saugus, MA) (20th) and freshman Sophia Hepler (Orono, ME) (21st) qualified for the MASCAC's with tosses of 8.89M and 8.71M in the shotput, while in the weight throw, graduate student Sophia Salamone (Falmouth, ME) (10.89M), Israelson (10.09M) and Hepler (8.49M) finished 14th, 18th and 27th to qualify for the MASCAC's.
