Women's Lacrosse Bested by Owls
FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team suffered another setback this evening at the hands of Keene State in non-conference action.
THE BASICS:

- Score: Keene 14, Fitchburg 6
- Records: Keene (6-1), Fitchburg (0-6)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Keene jumped out to a 4-0 lead with 11:19 left in the second quarter. They netted three in the first and a fourth to start the second. Fitchburg would score their first goal with 7:32 left, off of a quick shot by Samantha Azzari (Haverhill, MA) from Delaney Ponder (Bridgewater, MA). The Owls would then respond with two more goals, making it a 6-1 game. The Falcons would score one more time before the half with 2:41 left in the second. Breanna White (Peabody, MA) would find the back of the net this time after getting a pass from Autumn Tibbetts (Lunenburg, MA). Keene would conclude the half with another two goals, with Chase Gengras completing a hat trick and making the game an 8-2 contest.
- The third quarter saw Keene extend their lead to 11-2 with three straight goals. The Falcons would net the last goal in the quarter to put the game at 11-3. Fitchburg's third goal was scored by Kiley McFadden (Tewksbury, MA) off a pass from teammate Alexis Raymond (Tewksbury, MA).
- The fourth quarter saw the biggest output from the Falcons offense when they rattled off three goals. Jessica St. George (Dracut, MA) started the fourth's scoring. After another three goals for Keene, White and Hannah Azzari (Haverhill, MA) would put in back-to-back goals to close out the game with the final of 14-6.

- Dakin Kovatch (White River Junction, VT) suffered the loss (0-5) after surrendering 11 goals while making 6 saves.
- Mabelle Bessette would earn the win (6-1) after allowing two goals and not making a save.
