Dartmouth, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-6 decision to the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
The Falcons tipped the twine just 45 seconds into the game. Senior Eva Kozikowski (Portsmouth, NH) found newcomer Jessica St. George (Dracut, Mass.) for the early 1-0 lead. Two minutes later the Corsairs evened the score with a goal from Maddie Wright. Wright would add 3 more goals to forge UMass Dartmouth a 6-1 lead after one period.
In the second frame, senior Cali Laakso (Fitchburg, Mass.) notched her first goal of the season to cut the Falcons' deficit to 7-2. The hosts outscore the Green and Gold 4-0 to hold an 11-2 lead at intermission.
Sophomore Alexis Raymond (Tewksbury, Mass.) added a goal in the third period for the Falcons however the Corsairs upped its advantage to 14-3.
Fitchburg State outscored the Corsairs 3-2 in the final frame. Laakso completed the hat trick with a pair of goals and Kozikowski added her second of the game.
