St. George Earns MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

Dracut, Mass. native nets first weekly honor of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Jessica St. George (Dracut, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The first-year Falcon notches her first weekly accolade on the year after totaling seven points on four goals and three assists as well as eight draw controls, seven groundballs and one caused turnover in a 1-1 week for the Green and Gold.

Jessica tallied four points on two goals and two helpers in addition to two groundballs and seven draw controls in a 17-6 triumph over Rhode Island College on Tuesday before adding two goals, one assist, five groundballs, one draw control and a caused turnover in a 13-12 setback to Bridgewater State on Friday.

The Fitchburg State Women's Lacrosse team (4-6, 1-2 MASCAC) returns to action today as they host the Beavers of UMaine Farmington in non-conference action, starting at 6:00PM.
