Herron Earns MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week
FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State Freshman goalkeeper Mia Herron (Mendon, MA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Herron made 22 saves with a 1.50 GAA and .880 save percentage in a 0-1-1 week for the Falcons. Stopped 14 shots in the 0-0 tie with Bridgewater State. Added eight saves in the 3-0 setback to Western New England.
The Fitchburg State women's soccer team (2-11-3, 1-4-2 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday when they host WestConn in non-conference action, starting at 6:00 PM.
