Women’s Soccer Bested by Pride

WESTON, MA: The Fitchburg State women’s soccer team fell to non-conference opponent Regis College this evening, 2-1.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/16/25

- Score: Regis 2, Fitchburg 1

- Records: Regis (1-5-1), Fitchburg (1-5)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Regis took the lead just 3:04 into the game. Delaney Scanlon capitalized on a penalty kick, putting the Pride up 1-0. The Falcons wouldn't stay behind for long, tying it up in the 16th minute. Adrianna Westcott (Sayreville, NJ) scored again for the Falcons, her third of the season. Autumn Dwyer (Billerica, MA) assisted Westcott for the tying goal.  

- After the first half remained scoreless, Regis came out and scored again quickly at the start of the second half. Scanlon was the one who assisted teammate Julia Benvegnu for the go-ahead goal. This would turn out to be the game-winner for the Pride as they won 2-1. 

- Alison Jerram earned the win (1-0), making four saves on five shots faced. Mia Herron (Mendon, MA) took the loss (0-4), with six saves on eight shots.
