How It Happened

Fitchburg State opened the scoring at the 10:20 mark as junior Maddie Hippert (Worcester, Mass.) deposited a shot inside the near post for her fourth tally on the year as classmate Ashley Porter (Upton, Mass.) assisted on the play.

Following the intermission, MCLA threatened in the 70th minute of action when senior Sarah Tomczyk (Plainville, Conn.) fired a shot on frame, but Falcon keeper Skyla Vaudo (Burlington, Mass.) turned the shot aside.

The Falcons upped their lead at the 69:52 mark with junior Elizabeth Read (Fitchburg, Mass.) collecting a feed from freshman Adrianna Westcott (Sayreville, N.J.) and buried a shot into the right side of net to make the score 2-0.

The Green and Gold secured the victory minutes later as the visitors notched an own goal, resulting in the 3-0 final.
