Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Clash To Rams
Dawkins stops six shots for Green and Gold
Boston, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to the Rams of Suffolk University in non-conference action this evening from East Boston Memorial Field.

How It Happened
Suffolk opened the scoring at the 3:46 mark as sophomore Makena Columbus (Bridgewater, MA) settled a feed from classmate Angelina Giovanni (Sterling, CT) and deposited a shot into the left side of the net for her first tally on the season for the 1-0 edge.
The Rams doubled their lead in the 16th minute of action when Columbus lofted a shot into the upper right corner for her second marker of the contest off an assist from sophomore Avery Porter (Portland, OR) to make the score 2-0.
The hosts pushed the advantage to 3-0 at the 29:57 mark with Porter converting a penalty kick for her first tally of the 2024 campaign. Fitchburg State nearly cut into the deficit in the 33rd minute as sophomore Delia Fitzgerald (Foxboro, MA) put a shot on frame, but Rams keeper Sophie Barker (Old Sayville, CT) turned the shot aside to preserve the 3-0 lead going into the break.
Following the intermission, Suffolk upped the lead to 4-0 at the 61:41 mark as sophomore Madelyn Murray (Marlborough, CT) received a pass from senior Charli Adams (Chula Vista, CA) and put a shot into the back of the net for her third marker on the year.
The Rams secured the victory in the 84th minute when junior Lily Goldman (Plymouth, MA) found the back of the net for her first tally of the season, resulting in the 5-0 final.
