How It Happened

Mass. Maritime opened the scoring at the 25:19 mark of the first frame when freshman Karah Deveau (Harwichport, MA) deposited a shot into the lower right corner for her fourth tally on the season for the 1-0 edge.

Following the intermission, the Falcons knotted the score at 1-1 at the 71:21 mark when junior Zoe Chrisostomides (Scotch Plains, NJ) redirected a corner kick off the foot of freshman Kelsey Fournier (Upton, MA) into the far side of the net for her first collegiate marker.

The Buccaneers secured the victory one minute later however when sophomore Ayla Santoro (Attleboro, MA) blasted a shot for 18 yards out just under the crossbar for her third goal of the 2024 campaign, resulting in the 2-1 final.
