FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State Women's Volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference contests to the Sharks of Simmons College and the Lyons of Mount Holyoke College this afternoon.

Match One
- Fitchburg State's offense was paced by senior outside hitter Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) with a team-best six kills, two service aces and nine digs, while junior setter Mia Vestal (Wilmington, MA) chipped in with a team-leading 11 assists and four digs. Defensively, sophomore Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) finished with nine digs, seven assists and two service aces.
- For the Sharks, newcomer Mia LeBrun (New Hampton, NH) finished with a match best 11 kills and two digs, while senior setter Abby Sousa (Seekonk, MA) added a match-leading 27 assists, one kill, 14 digs and two service aces. On the defensive end, junior Emily Ibarra (Downey, CA) registered 14 digs, one assist and four service aces.

- Fitchburg State's offense was led by Sardella with a team-leading seven kills, one service ace and ten digs, while Vestal added a team best nine assists, two service aces and two digs. Defensively, junior Jessica Greco (Southington, CT) finished with a team leading 13 digs and one assist.
- For the Lyons, senior Madeline Barton (Brookfield, WI) netted a match best 14 kills, one service ace, five digs and three blocking assists, while senior setter Sadie Duffrin (Minneapolis, MN) added a best leading 28 assists, one kill, one service ace and nine digs. On the defensive end, senior Amelia Ringor (Lafayette, IN) registered a match best 23 digs, one assist and two service aces.
