Women's Volleyball Topped By Owls In MASCAC Action

Fitchburg, MA: The Fitchburg State Women’s Volleyball team fell 3-1 to the Owls of Westfield State this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from the Parkinson Gymnasium.

Fitchburg, MA: The Fitchburg State Women's Volleyball team fell 3-1 to the Owls of Westfield State this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from the Parkinson Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Fitchburg State's offense was paced by senior Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) with a team-leading ten kills, one assist, three service aces, one blocking assist and 15 digs, while sophomore setter Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) added a team-best 12 assists, two kills, three service aces and nine digs. Defensively, senior Abigail DeAngelis (Danvers, MA) finished with 14 digs and two service aces for the Green and Gold.

- For the Owls, senior Emily Washalavitch (Oxford, PA) 17 kills, one assist, four service aces, ten digs and one blocking assist, while senior Morgan Dority (Walpole, MA) added a match leading 33 assists, seven kills, two service aces and 12 digs. On the defensive end, junior Erica Majka (Agawam, MA) registered 20 digs, three assists and two service aces
