Volleyball Blanked by Bison

DUDLEY, MA: The Fitchburg State women’s volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by the Bison of Nichols College tonight in non-conference play.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/26/25

- Score: Nichols 3, Fitchburg 0. Sets: 15-25, 15-25, 22-25

- Records: Nichols (6-9), Fitchburg (0-12)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Bison were paced by Alyssa Morse, who recorded an impressive 15 kills on 28 attempts. Ruby St. Onge finished as the top setter with 23 assists and added five digs. Elizabeth Mullen anchored the defense with a match-high 13 digs.

- The Falcons' offense struggled to get anything going, finishing with 18 kills and 17 errors. Leading the Fitchburg offense was Gwynneth Norman (Keene, NH), who finished with a team-high five kills, only one error, and 12 total attempts for a .333 kill percentage. Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) was the top setter for the Falcons with nine assists and four digs. Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) finished with a team-high six digs.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Digs: Nichols 37, Fitchburg 26

-  Assists: Nichols 40, Fitchburg 17
