Hannah Azzari registers team best eight digs for the Green & Gold

New London, NH: The Fitchburg State Women's Volleyball team suffered a 3-0, straight set setback to the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer this evening in non-conference action from the Hogan Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Fitchburg State's offense was led by senior Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) with a team-leading six kills and eight digs, while junior setter Mia Vestal (Wilmington, MA) chipped in with nine assists, two service aces and four digs for the Falcons. Defensively, junior Hannah Azzari (Haverhill, MA) finished with a team best eight digs and one kill.

- For the Chargers, newcomer Addison Sasnett (Virginia Beach, VA) finished with a match best 14 kills and two digs, while junior setter Bree Bacon (Brookline, MA) added a match-leading 26 assists, four service aces, two kills and ten digs. On the defensive end, sophomore Madison Sinatro (Simsbury, CT) collected 15 digs, three assists and three service aces.
