Women's Volleyball Downed by Owls
KEENE, NH: Fitchburg State women's volleyball suffered a loss this evening to Keene State in non-conference action.
THE BASICS:

- Score: Keene 3, Fitchburg 0. Set Scores: 11-25, 12-25, 24-26
- Records: Keene (3-1), Fitchburg (0-2)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Owls took the first two sets, keeping the Falcons offense from getting going. Keene ramped up offensively as each set went on. Their kill numbers went from seven in the first set to 12 in the second and 18 in the third. Leading the way was Molly Wetherbee, with a match-high ten kills. She had just two errors on the day, ending with a .471 kill percentage. Alexis Small helped the team by dishing out 30 assists, with Theresa Norris helping hold down the back line with a match-high 11 digs.
- The Falcons put together their best set in the third with a 24-26 finish. Samantha Mirra (Burlington, MA) and Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA) led the offense. Mirra topped the team with seven kills, while Sardella had six. Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) dealt out nine assists. Sardella also finished with a team-high in digs with nine.
