Lyons Claw Past Women's Volleyball
SOUTH HADLEY, MA: Fitchburg State women's volleyball fell this evening to the Lyons of Mount Holyoke in non-conference action.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lyons found success through Elle Rimando and Madeline Barton, who both had match-highs in kills, with ten. Sadie Duffrin distributed the ball well tonight, as she racked up 31 assists. She also added eight digs and three kills. Lucie Berclaz and Amelia Ringor held down the defense. Both had match-highs in digs, with 11 each.
- The Falcons offense was dominated by Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA), who had eight of the team's 15 kills. She also tallied the second-highest digs on the team with seven. Mia Vestal (Wilmington, MA) and Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) split setting duties tonight, with Vestal dishing out nine and Keohane finishing with six. Samantha Mirra (Burlington, MA) topped the defense with eight digs.

- Fitchburg State women's volleyball will return next Saturday, the 28th, for their first home tri-match against two non-conference opponents in Bay Path and Suffolk. Bay Path is slated to start at 11:00 AM, with Suffolk starting at 3:00 PM.
