Buccaneers Sail Past Volleyball in MASCAC Action
BUZZARDS BAY, MA: Fitchburg State women's volleyball fell to the Buccaneers of Mass Maritime 3-1 in conference action this evening.

- Records: Maritime (3-9, 1-0 MASCAC), Fitchburg (0-10, 0-1 MASCAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Each set was a close-run affair for the Buccaneers. The Falcons were close on their tails the whole night but couldn't finish on the offensive side. Although Fitchburg finished the match with more kills than the hosting team (38-37). Maritime was able to limit the errors as the Falcons finished the match with 36 to Maritimes 18.
- Leading the way for the Buccaneers was Alanys Torres, who had 12 kills. Torres' night was made easier by Shayla Narodowg, who dealt 29 assists. Narodowg also helped Audrey Manning on defense with both ending the night in the 20s with digs. Manning topped the team with 26, while Narodowg finished with 21.
- The Falcons were paced by Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, MA), who finished with a match-high 17 kills, along with being second in digs with 21. Samantha Mirra (Burlington, MA) finished with a high for the match with 28 digs, along with nine kills. In this one, Madison Keohane (Wakefield, MA) was the go-to setter, finishing with 16 assists.
