Mon Dec 16, 2019

Winter CommencementFitchburg State will celebrate its 123rd commencement exercises, winter ceremony, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 in the Athletics and Recreation Center, 130 North St. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. The ceremony will include the presentation of undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Graduates and guests can visit the Winter Commencement page for more information.

President Lapidus will deliver the commencement address at the ceremony, which will also feature remarks by Graduate Student Leadership Award recipient Eman Warraich-Gibson and undergraduate valedictorian Nicholas Powell.

We are anticipating a record-setting crowd for the ceremony. To provide our guests a little extra room, we will be opening satellite viewing stations in Hammond Hall to watch the event. These areas will have live TV feeds of the ceremony and refreshments. The viewing areas will be ideal for guests who may prefer not to be in tight seating. If we do reach capacity at the Recreation Center, we will direct guests to these viewing areas.

Remember that our commencement ceremony will be streamed live online via Fitchburg Access Television, so family and friends can take part in the celebration in real time from wherever they are.
