McKay houses both a Fitchburg public school (McKay Elementary School) and a laboratory school for Fitchburg State students interested in teaching. It continues the university’s century-long tradition of student teaching in a modern facility.

Academic department offices, classrooms, a computer laboratory, McKay Auditorium and the McKay Café are located here.
